It’s official! 🙂  — Others have come close, but we finally have our first Mini-Mustang to officially complete the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program!  With proud parents looking on, Braden accepted his certificate, prizes & gold medal.  This little cowboy will soon be featured on our 1,000 Book Wall of Fame.  And, even better– he’s well on his way to success in Kindergarten & beyond!

If you would like to participate in our 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program, stop on by!   You can sign up any time, but we will be having a special sign up time on Wed., September 13th from 3:00-4:00pm.

This program is free & open to patrons Preschool age & younger.  Participants can register at the library and pick up their Pledge book & reading log.  Parents will help record the books read to their children and turn in reading logs after every 100 book milestone.  We will CELEBRATE with stickers & prizes along the journey. After the 1,000th book, their names will be added to the 1,000 Book Wall of Fame!

Reading aloud to children is one of the VERY BEST things you can do to prepare them for future success in education.  It’s also FUN & a great way to build relationships, expand vocabulary, and introduce kids to a world of imagination, facts, and amazing people & places!!!
