Space Adventures with K-State Extension 21 Central District
Our third Summer Reading program featured a Space Adventure craft led by Jennifer Gleason & Mariah Sanders from K-State Extension 21 Central District.
◊
Participants were encouraged to create their own planet.
◊
Warm planets would be warm colors, like red, orange, yellow.
◊
Colder planets would be cool colors, like blue, green, purple.
◊
They used cotton, beads, & pom poms to add texture,
◊
And, they created a background of stars, comets, & more, depending on their imaginations!
We read a couple stories while we waited on the paint to dry. These kids know their space facts!
We had 33 kids enjoying library time today (and 22 moms, grandmas, babysitters, volunteers, etc. who truly helped make this experience a
success! And, who, thankfully didn’t complain about a LITTLE paint on some hands & maybe shirts before the day was over! 😉 )
Our sticker mural is taking shape (figure it out yet?).
◊
And our Summer Reading Adventure is half way over!
◊
There’s still time to come join the fun!
◊
Prizes for ALL ages! Sign up NOW! 🙂
