Week #6 Capping Off the Shelter & an Opportunity to Serve
Week #6
Throughout the week, workers stacked blocks, poured concrete & reinforced with rebar as the new storm shelter/restroom took shape.
During our September Library Board meeting, I looked out the window & was amazed to see doorways framed out, where only hours before there had been a void.
And, in regards to the Board meeting, if you live in the Macksville City limits & are interested in serving a term on the Library Board, please contact the library. We have monthly meetings, & we welcome input from all community members who want to support the library & the community at large!
Additionally: The Macksville City Library is currently seeking an Assistant Librarian. The position entails approximately eight hours a week with a starting salary of $8.00/hour. Notices will be posted on the library website and at the City Office until the position is filled. If you are interested in serving our community in this capacity, please send a letter of interest to P.O. Box 398, Macksville, KS 67557 or hand-deliver the letter to the library.
The Cap for the Shelter is in place. The trusses will be heading this way soon!
Keep checking back to see progress on our building adventure!
And, be ready to check out DeVaughn James: WINS for KANSAS during KAKE tv’s 10pm news broadcast on September 25th!
More details on our events calendar!
