- Hudson Flour Festival, April 14th from 10:30am-2:00pm. Bake-Off, Photo Contest, Mill Tours, Meal by Wheatland Café, Combine Climb, Wheat Pit Dig, Sack Race, Biscuit Launch, Pancake Toss- Check out Get Hudson Kansas Facebook page for more info.
- Barrettpalooza–In Greensburg, KS, April 14th – Fun Run, Golf, Chicken & Noodles, auction, raffle and more- including a free showing of “Field of Dreams” at 2:30 pm at the Twilight Theatre. All proceeds will benefit Macksville Alum, Barrett Smith, as he faces medical costs and is in need of a kidney transplant.
- Eufloria– Final day to see this exhibit at the Vernon Filley Art Museum. Acrylic paintings by Michael Jilg and Photography by Leon Staab 1:00-4:00pm 420 South Jackson, Pratt, KS
- Macksville High School presents the play: Blazing Guns At Roaring Gulch or The Perfumed Badge. April 14th, at 7:00 pm at the Lewis Elementary Auditorium, 401 Sunnyside Dr. Lewis, KS Admission at the Door: Adults $4.00 Students $3.00.
- And, of course, the Library will be open from 9:00 am-12:00 noon on Saturday. Drop by and check out our Poetry books, as April is Poetry month. 🙂 It’s also Distracted Driving Awareness Month, and we have some catchy posters up and resources available, as well.
- Finally, get ready for the Stafford County Health and Wellness Fair. Posters are up around town and at the library. April 16th: Health Fair with STARS Stafford after school program 5:30-7:00pm. April 17th: Blood Draws at Stafford County Hospital 7:00am-12:00pm. Then, on Wednesday, April 18th: Blood Draws are available at Macksville School 7:00am-9:00am, and April 19th: Blood Draws at Stafford Health Department 7:00am-12:00pm.
