Celebrating Blooms & Memories at the Library
Since we’ve completed the new library addition, three special memorials have been given with landscaping, flowers & plants in mind.
♥
We were honored to select a planter and purchase soil & an assortment of plants given in memory of: Elaine Buckman, Donna Nelson, & Kathleen Wendland. These women each loved plants & gardening.
What a beautiful way to remember them AND beautify our community!
♥
(Specific information on the memorials can be found on our Thanks & Memorials page.) Plants chosen were: Sempervivum fire Quartz (fancier Hen & Chick like Elaine was known for), Stonecrop Sedum, Creeping Lilyturf Liriope Spicata, Cora Red Vinca, ‘Kansas Kitten’ Daylily, &‘Hameln’ Dwarf Fountain Grass.
Hoping we can keep these alive year after year… but, it is Kansas. We may need to replace them next spring. 😉
Special THANKS to Sarah for volunteering to put the planter together!
As you can see, some weeding & new rock made a huge difference.
(We still need a few bags of white marble, if you are looking for memorial ideas!)
