De-LIGHT-ful Fundraiser & Country Christmas
The week before Country Christmas was full of activity on the streets of Macksville & in the Macksville City Library. Troy & Mason decorated the light poles, and we were busy preparing for NEW SHELVES at the library!
It’s still a project in the making- but with LOTS of effort, we can finally say, “Our books are no longer being stored on the floor!!!” 🙂
(Our next post will give more details.)
Country Christmas marked the first day of our Open House and De- “LIGHT“- ful Book Sale!
If you haven’t already, drop by the library to get a cute Christmas Duck & to sign up for our prize drawing (Three prize packs to choose from. We will draw the winners on Dec. 19th.)
And, on cue, more buzzing lights went dim in the original library! We have a bid to replace the lights with surface mount LED lights, and our goal is to raise $2,524.00 in Donations, Memorials & from our great big Book & Rummage Sale! So far, we have raised $328.75.
“Thanks” to board members & local community members for generous donations to our sale. Come check it out– we have a wide variety of items available (Christmas shoppers welcome!).
We were excited to see all of the amazing decorations at The Table and to read a book to the kiddos AND to Santa!
The kids chose one of our new books to listen to: The Twelve Dinosaurs of Christmas by Evie Day.
Following are some pictures from our “I’ll Be Gnome For Christmas” parade.
All the smiles! 🙂 “Thanks” to all who helped make the day a success!
Makes us happy to call Macksville – HOME!
