Earth Day Program- In Person or Virtual
This Saturday, April 23rd, we will celebrate Earth Day!*
The program will be at the Macksville City Library from 10-11am for kids 4th grade & under.
We’ll have: Stories, Games, Planting @ the Library, Snacks & Free Books
AND, because the weather may be an issue… AND, because the whole point is to get kids & families OUTSIDE, we are offering a Virtual Option!
To participate in the Virtual Earth Day program:
- Take a hike, a walk, or a bike ride with an adult, a grocery bag & a camera. Enjoy NATURE. Pick up trash along the way (gloves available at the library). (If you see a neat rock… put it in your pocket to show the librarian later!)
- HUG a TREE or SMELL a FLOWER. Send a picture (or 3) of your adventure to macksvillecitylibrary@hotmail.com, or text it to the librarian. (Note: unless instructed otherwise, photos may be shared on our website. No names will be used.)
- Drop by the library during open hours (Monday & Wednesday 1-6pm Saturday 9am-12noon) by April 30th to pick up your participation treats, while supplies last! 🙂
Looking forward to Saturday AND to seeing pictures, hearing stories from virtual participants!
