Thriving at the End of Week #33
Week #33 ended with LOTS of elbow room in the original library building. Everything besides three computers, the librarian’s desk, some book carts, plus a table of recent titles were hauled into the new addition by 7th, 8th & 9th graders. THANK YOU, MUSTANGS!
When the back-to-back metal shelves were removed, the carpet told a tale: of missing puzzle pieces, marbles, game tokens, lollipop sticks ( 🙁 ) &, unfortunately, bright orange rust stains.
Enter our City Guys to the rescue: Troy & Mason added some paint to the bottom of each metal shelf… hopefully so we can keep our new carpet rust-free when the old shelves are returned!
We may be a little unorganized right now, but we are still open to serve our community!
Just today, we issued a Book for Baby, issued & renewed a State Library card, gave prizes for 200 books in the 1,000 Books Before Kindergarten program, had four computer users, checked out 20 children’s books & had 22 people walk through the door… & the day’s not over yet!
Keep checking back to see more on our Building Adventure! 🙂
