Summer Reading is over, & the winners of our our YA & Adult drawings have picked up their prizes. Congrats to Gabe & Ema! Hope you each enjoy your camp chair, beach towel, sketch book & drawing pencils sponsored by Golden Belt Telephone (along with all the other participation prizes).

All who participated in Summer Reading, are welcome to pick up prizes before August 20th. And, of course… the end of Summer Reading doesn’t have to mean the end of READING!  So many books… come check them out!

Due to today’s GROUNDBREAKING: it is also the ENDING of the Pennies in the Pickle Jar fundraiser courtesy of JT Cafe.  Congratulations to Kelly B., who guessed the closest to the total of $53.72!  Over 30 people took part in the guessing. The smallest guess was $2.16 & the biggest was One Million pennies…

Kelly wins a $25 gift certificate to JT Cafe, & the library will be adding $77.94 to the building fund. 🙂

And now- we’ve reached the long awaited BEGINNING of our building project!

Today workers set up fence, marked the ground, cut rebar & more. We heard hammering, shoveling, & lots of back-up BEEP-BEEP-BEEP-ing!

But, no Shushing here– it was all MUSIC to this librarian’s ear.
