Hoping For a Groundbreaking Year!
Happy New Year!
Here at the Macksville City Library, we are ready to make 2022 the Best Year Ever!
We are SOOO Close to our goal for the Library Building Fund! IF you have been considering contributing, NOW is the perfect time!
Help us cross the finish line & be able to utilize a TRANSFORMING $25,000 matching grant from SCKLS before time runs out.
Perhaps you wish to contribute in honor of a special person or celebrate an anniversary or other milestone. Or, maybe you just want to make Macksville a better place for generations to come! Whatever the reason, feel free to visit with your local librarian if you have questions about the building fund.
Memorials are a tangible way to remember those we miss.
This children’s book was given in memory of former MHS Graduate, Serena Blaske, who loved music, loved children, & will always be remembered for her beautiful spirit & smile.
In recent weeks, the library has received generous Christmas gifts, book sale donations, and memorials for: Joe Butler, Don Vosburgh, Bud Suiter, John Springer, Serena Blaske, Joy Cudney, Les Deighton & Doug Lamb. More details can be found on our Thanks & Memorials page.
The creative kids who have visited in 2022 have been helping us decorate in between reading books, & playing on the computers.
We have SOOOO many new books ready for check out! And, the BOOK TRUCK comes next Wednesday… If you need a good book on a cold winter day, this is the place to find it!
“When I think of all the books still left for me to read, I am certain of further happiness.”
-Jules Renard, The Journal of Jules Renard
Thanks, Jody for all you do for our library and community!
