Imagining a Sticker Story
It’s Week Two of Summer Reading, & Imaginations are on full display!
Participants are creating their own sticker stories, and, just like these awesome kids– no two are alike. They may all begin with “Once upon a time…” but that is where the similarities end.
So far, we have a story about Queen Bethany who visits the forest and finds a bird and frog…. and ends with the princess playing with wild bunnies.
We have a story about a knight named Macksville who fights a lava dragon and then flies on a unicorn in circles to protect the kingdom. He finds a king frog who turns out to be the pet of the prince and princess. They are happy to see him and put him back in his cage. 😉 …
We have a story about a unicorn, named Goldie, who was trying to save the bunnies from the dragon… they escaped the dragon’s cave, and they lived happily ever after. 🙂
And, we have MORE stories in the making! (Plus more detailed sticker puzzles for those who want a fun indoor diversion on these 90 degree days!)
Everyone who completes a sticker story gets to pick a brag tag (see below). More styles available throughout the summer.
While we really do miss the LARGE crowds that Summer Reading has always entailed… we are enjoying working in small groups with the kids who drop by throughout the week.
And, we hope the list of participants keeps on GROWING!!!
Today, as one little guy was checking out his books, he said: “You know… when Mom says she wants to take us to the library, I don’t want to go. But then, I get here- and I’m glad! Now, when I come, it starts to get FUN!”
Gotta say- He made my DAY! 🙂
Come Join Us– Summer Reading- It’s starting to get FUN!
