The Macksville City Library participated in Jumpstart’s Read for the Record for the 6th year in a row.  This year, the book we read was Bunny Cakes, by Rosemary Wells.

      In total, we read the story to 67 kids and 8 adults…  Local daycare kids, Pre-K, K, 1st & 2nd graders enjoyed the story AND the gummy worms they received for being such good listeners! 

We joined with millions of adults & children on October 21st  for the world’s largest shared reading experience,  and it was evident that Max & Ruby are popular characters for many kids! 🙂

“THANKS!” to the teachers & daycare for letting us share Bunny Cakes with your kids!

   And, THANKS for ALL you do to promote literacy & a love of learning in our youth!

ALSO: Remember to clip your Boxtops for Education and Campbell’s Labels for Education.  These can be turned in at the library or the grade school.  Boxtops help our school buy books, and Campbell’s labels are collected by the PreSchool and City Library to help us serve kids on limited budgets!
