Kids learn about Korea
On July 11th, Byoung Lee spoke to the kids about Korea. We learned how TINY his home country is, compared to Kansas– and how HUGE the population there is, compared to Kansas! He brought clothes that his children had worn (see the adorable models above), and he showed pictures of his family and ‘hometown’. We learned that seedless watermelon come from Korea, most phones, also, AND we learned how important education is in Korea. Byoung stressed the benefits of speaking more than one language, and he wrote each child’s name in Korean on a bookmark just for them. 🙂 Thank you, Pastor Byoung for sharing your culture and love of learning with us!
Note: Monday, July 18th will be our Summer Reading Party! Bring your reading logs and biography drawing, if you have not already done so. After the PARTY, those who met their reading goals are invited to a POOL PARTY from 4-5pm. You must have a ‘Ticket’ from the library to attend. (Parents of toddlers/non-swimmers are encouraged to attend, also)
Wednesday, July 20th, the Book Truck delivers New Books & Audiobooks!!!
