On November 19th the Macksville City Library celebrated Kansas Reads to Preschoolers Week at the Macksville Grade School.

We read to sixteen dancing kids in the morning, and to eight more wiggly ones in the afternoon!

We received two copies of the book, Is Everyone Ready For FUN? from the Kansas State Library as part of a statewide project to ensure that all public libraries in KS are able to promote early literacy.

The kids enjoyed the active book by Jan Thomas, which encouraged them to JUMP! DANCE! WIGGLE! and even NAP!  Below are some pictures from our day. Note that no two cows are exactly alike! And, some cows wiggled and danced so hard that an ear fell off! 🙂  Thanks to Mrs. Aves, Rosa & Florinda for sharing the PreK kids with us and helping make the program a success.
