Summer Reading has come to a close!  Our July 1st story hour had 43 kids in attendance, and Leona Breeden from Smoky Hills Public Television was our guest reader.  She shared many critters/characters that appear on SHPTV, and we watched an episode of Curious George (he is curious about worms!).  Leona read some fun books and gave the kids a pencil craft to create (see above) and a free book to take home.  Thank you, Leona & SHPTV!

Our final Story Hour was July 8th, with 44 kids in attendance.  Super assistants, Lexi & Sophie helped read the story: Hey, Little Ant, and kids were treated to prizes from our amazing Dollar General grant and some school supplies from the Pratt Walmart’s $75 donation.  Afterwards, we headed to the pool!

All the kids who met their reading goals (51 kids!) were eligible to attend the pool party.  We had a fun time splashing after all the ‘hard (fun) work’ of meeting our goals!
