Memorials can be a tangible way to remember those who have gone before.

This trio of special ladies (Roena Emmons, Freda Helwig, & Elaine Buckman-from a 2016 photo) each made an indelible mark on the Macksville community & on so many lives.

Fittingly, they have all been remembered with special titles & memorials at the Macksville City Library.  Two books: Midwest Gardener’s Handbook: All You Need To Know to Plan, Plant & Maintain a Midwestern Garden, by Melinda Myers, & children’s book: Flowers Are Calling, by Rita Gray, have been given in memory Elaine Buckman, a Master Gardener & one who always answered this librarian’s never ending plant questions!

A memorial of flowers/plants has also been given in memory of Elaine.  This coming Spring, once the library is complete, something special will be chosen to plant in her honor. 

Whether a bulb, a bush, or a vine, its blooms will be sure to brighten the days of many patrons & passersby. ♥ Check back later to see what is planted!
