Memorials Given
Several memorials have been given to the Macksville City Library in memory of special people. Jetta Wellman, who passed away at age 103, was a former librarian who loved this little library and the town of Macksville. Three children’s books (above) have been given in her honor. For a list of those who gave memorials to the Library Building Fund in Jetta’s memory, click here.
Two children’s books have been given to the library in honor of Grayce (Bock) Lucas, MHS Class of 1949. The first, Miss Fannie’s Hat, was written by a favorite author, Jan Karon, & the second, Falling Up, by Shel Silverstein, was donated from Grayce’s collection by granddaughter Emily Lucas.
Finally, the book, A Crack in the Track, was given in memory of Edgar Hake, Eileen Loomis’ father, by Eileen & Bruce Loomis. It surely will be enjoyed by many of his great grandchildren and others who love Thomas the Tank Engine. 🙂
To check out any of these books, visit the library! And, to learn more about our Library Addition Fund, please visit our Thanks & Memorials page.
As we look forward to a new year- what a perfect time to look back and remember from whence we came– and the special people who shared our journey!
