Macksville Preschoolers have something GROOVY to smile about!

THANK YOU, to Midwest Energy, Inc.* for the $500 grant that helped sponsor the Macksville City Library’s Kansas Reads to Preschoolers program. 

With this grant we were able to purchase copies of the book: Groovy Joe: Ice Cream & Dinosaurs for each preschooler, along with a puppy kit for each child to create, hug, dance with, and read to. 🙂

Funds were also used to purchase 26 sturdy board books for all patrons to check out at the library for years to come!

These good listeners were ready for the “ROAR!” of each dinosaur! And, they joined in each time Groovy Joe stated: “It’s AWESOME to share!”

   All of the preschoolers were also more than willing to share good homes & hugs with the new puppies that they chose & stuffed & named.Some of the names they gave their new puppies were: Snowdrop, Bobbie, Sparkler, Pencil, Happy, I Zebra, Green, and Callie B! 
The finished puppies made GROOVY dance partners when we all did The Groovy Dance.  Puppies were dancing High & Low, Here & There, and jumping In & Out, with Groovy moves to spare! 🙂
