The 2016 Summer Reading Program has come to an end, and our Amazing Readers have crossed the FINISH Line with a Flourish!

While our Olympic heroes are aiming for Swifter, Higher & Stronger, we finished the summer Faster, Smarter & Wiser !

We had 6 Story-Hours and ended with a Pool Party for those who met their reading goals. 83 kids came to at least one story hour, and 14 kids had 100% attendance! WOW!

Dollar General provided us with a $1500 Summer Reading Grant, which made ALL THE DIFFERENCE in the programs, crafts, books and incentives we were able to provide.  The Wal-Mart in Pratt donated $100 for our Summer Reading Party, and the Macksville Girl Scout Troop #12 donated MANY boxes of Girl Scout cookies to feed our Story Time kids and give as prizes.  Library Board members also donated cookies & snacks for the kids.  THANK YOU, EVERYONE!!!!!

It was hard to pick Top Readers this summer, but those who went above and beyond were recognized at our pool party with some special prizes.

Our Young Adult and Adult program had twelve participants, and all seven who turned in a bookmark received prizes!

If you took part in Summer Reading but missed the final party– please stop by the library for your certificate and goodie bag 🙂  (Reading Logs still accepted)
