Share A Story with SHPTV
“Calling all Super Readers!” 30 kids & 5 adults attended our fourth Summer Reading Program. Guest Speaker Anita Butler, an Education Presenter from Smoky Hills Public Television, began the Share a Story program by showing the kids a short episode of Super Why. She then read the book, Clifford the Firehouse Dog, and the kids colored masks from Super Why. You can see the creative artists we have in our midst! 🙂 The program ended with each child receiving their very own copy of the Clifford book.
According to SHPTV promotional materials, “Simple, fun daily activities like reading aloud, story telling, rhyming, singing, exercise, drawing and acting, teach young children language and literacy skills – and that’s what Smoky Hills Public Television’s Share A Story is all about!” We definitely agree with that at the Macksville City Library! We are thankful for this program and the educational programming that SHPTV provides.
