November is here, and Thanksgiving is around the corner. 

What are you thankful for?

Our newest library card holders were certainly pleased with their brand new books!

In their first official Macksville City Library visit, they dove right in, exploring the pictures in The Perfect Dog, by O’Malley, and  I Love You Through and Through, by Rosetti-Shustak. Sutton was all giggles, & Bristol was enamored with the bubbles & puppies found on the pages of both books!

We are so thankful for these two new patrons & to their parents who are committed to read to them.

Did you know that November is National Family Literacy Month?

What a great reminder that when we read with/to kids, learning happens, memories are made, imaginations are stimulated, bonds grow stronger, & EVERYONE benefits!

 Note: Free books were provided through a grant from the South Central Community Foundation.  If you live in the Macksville area & have children ages 2 years & younger, drop by the library to sign up for a Library Card.  We want to WELCOME your little one  with a FREE bilingual board book (one per child, while supplies last).
