Solar Eclipse 2024
We gave out 10 pairs of Eclipse glasses (THANK YOU, Mrs. Newdigger!!!), and we had 14 people drop by the library to check out the fun!
I had seen where a colander could be used to see a projection of the eclipse for those who didn’t have glasses. (I also made a pinhole viewer from a cardboard box, but it didn’t prove as effective.) The first picture was taken before the eclipse began. The second colander picture was taken near peak viewing time.
The higher up I lifted the colander, the more pronounced the little crescents were.
A big “Thanks” to Eleen for bringing her Daycare kids to see the Eclipse. They also helped decorate our sidewalk & helped pick up sticks from recent winds.
Look at the excitement on those precious faces!
