Ssssssssensational Summer Reading!
Ssssssincere Thanks, to Kansas Dept of Wildlife & Parks educator, Pam Martin, for bringing snakes, crafts & info from the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. The 56 kids who came to story hour learned a lot about these cold-blooded critters. They saw snake eggs, a bony skeleton, snake skins, and real, slithering, constricting snakes– including a bull snake, a king snake, and a hog-nosed snake, to name a few. Most kids were even brave enough to touch one of the snakes! The snake craft was also a big hit with all ages!!!
Don’t forget: two story hours left- July 6th & 11th. Then the PARTY! 🙂
Please Note: The Library will be closed for the Holiday Weekend: July 2nd and 4th.
