Our 4th Story Hour of the summer focused on ROCKETS!  28 kids blasted into the library to hear, Roaring Rockets by Tony Mitton, &  Mousetronaut by Astronaut Mark Kelly.

  For crafts we made rocket bookmarks, & we also took pictures with our favorite books in preparation for an upcoming photo frame craft.

One dedicated 4-H’er chose the Stafford County Fair book as his favorite read!  What a great reminder to drop by the library, pick up a Fair Book, get busy on possible fair entries, and check out the upcoming events tab on our website for info on the fun times headed this way. 🙂

We divided into four teams for recreation. Kids took aim to fling whistle rockets at two targets on the library lawn. It was not an easy task for all, but all were determined to hit the target… no matter how many tries it took.

We ended with snacks, and as always, THANKS to our wonderful Library Board Members for providing yummy cookies for Summer Reading!
