Thanks Brimming Over…
November is the perfect time to reflect on giving THANKS!
At the Macksville City Library, we are thankful for generous donations which have enabled us to go from Dreaming Bigger to actually begin Planning to make our building addition dreams a reality!
A big “THANK YOU!” to Mary Ellen and the late Ralph Soldan for a charitable gift which will help us ‘get the ball rolling!’
“THANKS” also, to Dorothy and the late Donald Sparks for gifts to the library that mean so much. Dorothy taught students at MHS for many generations, and their gifts to the library will help insure that current & future generations can keep learning & ‘typing away’ in Macksville. 🙂
“Thank You,” to all patrons who support the library… by checking out books, surfing our internet & viewing our posts, attending our programs, and donating of your time and funds to make this library a vital asset to Macksville and beyond!
Here are some recent book donations we’re very thankful for:
These two books were given in memory of Larry Huffman, a career fireman from Bishop, California, (and cousin of Roena Emmons), who died of COVID-19 at the age of 82. What a special way to remember an essential worker (and educate kids on the important work that firefighters do)!
Have you checked out our Giving Tuesday post?
Giving comes in many forms.
Challenge yourself to GIVE a little this week…
Whether raking leaves like the Cloverleaf 4-H Club, phoning up a friend, or sending someone a note of cheer, you can make a difference & brighten someone’s day– even in a pandemic!
How will you give?
Thank you for sharing. We might not think “giving” a little or work help but it does in a big way.
