If you filled out a March into Heart Health calendar, please turn it in before April 9th for the prize drawing.

Thanks to a grant from the South Central Community Foundation, the library encouraged community members to ‘March Into Heart Health!‘ by recording minutes of exercise to  enter a prize drawing. Students at Macksville Grade School also got moving with March Madness Fitness Challenge calendars.  This photo shows second graders with their “Get Movin’!” tattoos… a reminder to be active for Heart Health.  From jump-roping to jumping jacks, kids could be seen getting active all around town!  We’re hopeful that this program encouraged participants to develop heart healthy habits in positive ways.  Visit the library for Heart Healthy bookmarks, books to check out, and incentives, while they last.
