We never know who will make an entrance to the MCL.

A couple of weeks ago, we were so excited to show off our little library (with its ‘work in progress‘ addition) to Marci Penner & Sarah Green, co-directors of the Kansas Sampler Foundation. Marci is the author of The Kansas Guidebook 2 for explorers, which is now on display at the library (Why didn’t I have her autograph it?! Argh!).

Marci & Sarah are in the process of visiting every incorporated city in Kansas. As of July 30, 2024 they had gone to 102 cities, with 523 to go.
Their mission is “to see how cities are doing in their present day environment and learn thoughts about their future. What are their hopes and dreams, roadblocks and setbacks, and solutions to move forward?“

Another surprise visitor we had was this adorable ONE MONTH OLD sweetie.♥
Her two doting sisters helped pick out a new Baby Book for her to keep.

They may be singing The Wheels on the Bus for many years to come! 😉

Today a very quiet visitor showed up on our windowsill…Love it when blooms appear… especially these pink ‘stars‘ of the show!
