Week #10 Conduit for Positivity
The work continues, though not always visible from the outside.
Early Monday morning, roofing crews got to work putting tar paper & plastic on the addition in preparation for shingles.
On Wednesday, a semi delivered multiple pallets of shingles.
The rest of the week was spent working inside the addition. Our former outside wall is becoming an interior wall!
Windows openings & doorway have been framed. And, conduit, wiring & electrical boxes have been installed throughout the addition.
And, just as the conduit will soon channel electricity into the addition, there has been a stream of positive energy flowing into the library this week…
We are grateful for memorials to the Macksville City Library Building Fund in memory of Patricia Scheck.
Pat was a librarian at the library & an assistant librarian. She loved to read & kept notebooks of all the titles she’d read!
These memorials will help furnish the library she loved for generations to come.
Also, Pat was an avid ‘cross-stitcher,’ & we are glad to have her Teddy Bears’ Picnic artwork on display. ♥
Two Teddy Bears’ Picnic books were donated in Pat’s memory, & we hope to host a picnic program in the future in her honor…
Two other books recently donated are: It Will Be Okay, given in memory of Lydia Monroe Myer, and an autographed Hank the Cowdog- The Case of the Lost Camp, from a former school librarian.
More details on these book donations, plus a list of those who donated to the building fund can be found on our Thanks & Memorials page.
Thanks, to Brooklyn for the Pumpkin art welcoming visitors to the library!
Keep checking back for more updates!
