Week #13 Treats & Filling in the Gaps
Week #13 began on October 31 with holiday fun at the library. We had sixteen patrons (costumed or not!) drop by & score some treats from the library.
Multiple Treats (Tootsie Roll Pops, gummies, bookmarks, pencils, & spider rings) could be earned by saying “Trick or Treat,” by telling about your costume, by reading a Poem, and/or by telling your favorite Monster or Spooky Story.
Costumes we saw & heard about were: Purple Witch, 2 CUTE Robots, Ichigo, Grim Reaper, a scary mask, & the Chicken Wrangler! 🙂
Votes for favorite Monster were: Sully, Mummy, Cookie Monster, & the winner– Frankenstein.
Responses for favorite Spooky Story were: “I don’t like scary stories!,” “The Witches” by Dahl, “Where the Wild Things Are” by Sendak, “The Monster at the End of This Book,” from Sesame Street, & the WINNER: “The Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” by Schultz.
In the corner of the library, it looked like what we hoped was a TRICK resting on the top of a bookshelf… A rubber mouse would have sealed the deal!
In actuality, it was only some insulation blown in from the new addition! Hooray!
And that was the Building progress in Week #13. Insulation blown into all the exterior walls (it feels warmer in there, already), plus more progress on ductwork in the rafters.
Echoes are are decreasing and outside noises are, as well.
Stay tuned: soon to come… drywall!Â
