Week #29 began quite ADORABLY!

We got to sign up a SUPER CUTE new patron for a library card & send her a home with a brand new BOOK for BABY.

When her mama said that monkey sounds make this little one smile, we knew this Touch & Feel Animals book would be perfect for her! 🙂

A new FASCINATING SCIENCE BOOK FOR KIDS is now available at the library… with 500 Amazing Facts.

This book was given in memory of Barbara Craig Queen by Luke & Megan Schroeder.

It’s a book that will definitely spark a child’s (& adult’s) curiosity & wonder in the world around them!

We’re almost finished counting the weeks of our Building Journey!  During Week #29, it was time to do a walk-through & a walk-around of the library addition & the project as a whole.

We tested every outlet, opened every door, & hopefully found all of the little ‘yet to do’ items to put on a Punch List for the contractor.

For example, we don’t want kids playing around with loose wiring outside or locking themselves in the kitchenette. And, we noted scuffs in the woodwork that need a spot of stain, as well as a drawer front that needs installed.

The countdown is on!  We’re looking forward to sharing this new space with our community & with all who have made it possible!
