Week #30 Fine Tuning & Final 2022 Report
Week #30 marked the end of February ♥ and the beginning of March ♣.
Around the library, little things were accomplished that will make a big difference as we prepare for our Grand Opening!
Contractors worked on Punch List items. Windows were cleaned, & holes in the walls were patched.
Floors were leveled; wires were rerouted; holes were caulked, and boxes & hydrants were made secure.
And– necessary fixtures were installed.
There is not much more to do in the addition, but we are still waiting on some items on backorder. And, at the end of the month, we are excited to be adding NEW CARPET to the original library…
It’s hard to believe that we are in Week #30 of our Building Journey. (And year 12 since the preliminary plans were first put on paper)
For those who are curious to know whether Construction has affected the programs & services we offer the community, see the infographic below to read the Macksville City Library’s 2022 report.
We are proud to have kept the doors open throughout the Journey. In 2022 we offered 34 programs with 640 people in attendance! And, we checked out 1,426 items. There may have been a slight decrease in the accessibility of certain resources along the way, but patrons have been positive & encouraging throughout the process!
Keep checking back to learn the date of our Grand Opening– and to see when we be closing temporarily for carpet installation.
Note: we are still seeking funding for Children’s Book Shelves & other items, if you feel a call to help. (click here to visit our Wish List)
Happy March! “May your troubles be less, your blessings be more, and nothing but happiness come through your door.” Irish Blessing
