Week #32 Many Hands Make Light Work!
Week #32 was a week of waiting (new carpet should arrive next week).
In our crowded little library, we were very busy boxing up books & games, & dusting & dusting & vacuuming- in preparation for the move!
Then came the Macksville Jr. High kids. Yeah for 7th graders! Many were amazed at the new addition (“It’s SO big!”). In a long train, 22 strong, they helped carry out children’s books & boxes of books & even some furniture to help get the move started.
We stacked books on the tables, stashed boxes of books under the tables, & lined up the once shelved children’s book in (hopefully) alphabetical order in multiple rows along the walls of the children’s area. Even more books were stacked on an old shelf donated by the school. Not ideal to stack books in piles, but it’s a HUGE help for now! (THANK YOU, MHS!)
Tomorrow the 8th graders are scheduled to get in some Community Service at the library. WooHoo! 🙂
Remember, you can still come to the library to check out books, use computers, etc. We will have to close when the carpet crew is here and when moving furniture & books back. Keep checking our site to see when closures will occur.
And, if you want to help get the books off our new carpet, donations & memorials for shelving are GREATLY APPRECIATED!
