Week 5: SHH… We’re Reading!
This week’s craft is a wooden door-hanger. On one side, kids are writing: “SHH –I’m Reading!” On the other side, we’ve seen their names, favorite school sports themes, summer scenes, and even one dragon motif that said, “NO girls allowed” (unless they pay 1¢)! 🙂
Some kids have visited the library weekly, while others are catching up on the crafts they missed in prior weeks. What a blessing to have an air-conditioned place for kids to stop by, be creative, and find some FUN books!
We’re nearing the end of Summer Reading for grades 6th & under.
Please be sure to bring your reading logs to the library next week (unless you are using ReaderZone), so you can be entered in our Grand Prize Drawing!
More information on our FINALE soon to come!
And, a reminder to Young Adults and Adults– you still have time to sign up, read 5 books, enter our drawing, & pick up goodies at the library from time to time! 😉
YA & Adult programs end August 3rd.
It’s great seeing all the crafts children are showing off. Love that!
It’s ONE of my favorite things about our Summer Reading Program! 🙂
