Week #8 Looking UP!
The last week of September began with our Wins for Kansas Segment airing on KAKE Channel 10 on Sunday evening & on Monday morning! Thanks again to DeVaughn James Injury Lawyers for supporting non-profits doing positive things in Kansas!
On Monday, it was quiet at the library- besides books being checked out, computers being used, games being played, Tyvek whipping in the wind, new books being processed, & puzzles being pieced together.
This puzzler put together (& sang 🙂 ) the animal alphabet train, which was much longer than she was tall! With toes by Zebra, “Z” caboose, she could barely reach to Narwhal “N”!
On Tuesday, intricate wooden pieces were connected & the library addition grew taller…
First truss in place early in the day (Sept. 27th)…
What a difference a day makes!
Wednesday saw more workers, trusses connecting to the existing roof, & electrical work (which meant we had to close for the day).
Thursday yielded plywood on the south side of the roof & fine tuning the connection of the two roofs.
Friday, plywood on the north side, and more fine tuning!
Looking good!
Wow! For the first time ever, no light shone in our eastern windows on a Saturday morning! A little eerie, but definitely a good thing!Sometime soon… these middle three windows will be gone, and we will get to enjoy our new space!Stay tuned!
And, check out our article from this week’s St John News.
