Our third story hour featured local treasure hunter, George S.  The 36 kids in attendance were excited to see some of the amazing and ordinary things he has found with his trusty metal detector.  George told us about his hobby, answered many, many questions from the kids,  and encouraged them all to find some worthwhile hobby that they can enjoy.

Now, many of us want metal detectors for Christmas! 

After George’s talk, the kids used a metal detector to find money in the front lawn, and then they decorated dogtags that said: READ- Read, Explore, Achieve, Discover

It’s hard to believe that the Summer Reading program is halfway over!  Keep digging into reading,  so you can meet/exceed those reading goals!!!
