Our 4th Summer Reading Program was: Fizz! Boom! Bugs! with Pam Martin from the Kansas Wetlands Education Center. Pam taught us about lightning bugs, and we tried to communicate like they do. We even saw proof that their lanterns glow best on hot nights (see photo below). Other critters entertained the kids, as well- such as crickets and a pair of Madagascar hissing cockroach.
Thirty-six kids squeezed in the library for this fun, educational program. Kids and critters… always a good match for fun! 🙂
