On November 13th, we joined thousands of libraries throughout the country in celebrating National Gaming Day @ your library. The library was a hub of activity from open to close (9:00am-12 Noon).
Twenty participants attended, including two youth helpers (THANK YOU, Karissa & Stephany!) Gamers enjoyed Candyland, Connect Four, Guess Who?, online computer games, puzzles, Scrabble Slam, Twister, and more.
A game of Charades led to lots of giggles and smiles, and the game Wits & Wagers Family was a hit for all ages. A championship match of spoons got heart rates pounding, as did exercises in agility that earned participants sports cards and posters from the magazine, Sports Illustrated for Kids. Hula Hoop-ers showed their skills, and the weather was nice enough for a little frisbee tossing outside.
This was our third year hosting Game Day @ Your Library, and it was the most successful one, yet! Thanks to the kids who made it fun!
