The 2023 Veteran’s Day Assembly at Macksville High School featured seven local veterans.

The assembly opened with the MHS Band playing the National Anthem.

After Welcome & Introductions by Mrs. Garza, students read the book, America’s White Table.

Then students presented results from their interviews with veterans Ryan DeHaan (US Army) and Gary Seibert (US Navy).

Two fourth grade students read the poem “In Flanders Fields.”

…

The MHS Band then played the “Marine’s Hymn.”

The Assembly concluded with a solo of “God Bless the USA,” then closing remarks & a standing ovation.

We are so thankful to those who have served and those who are still serving our country.

As a reminder- we are encouraging local Community Service with our “Boots On the Ground for GOOD” program.

With a minimum of 30 minutes of Service, you can earn a pair of BOOTS or a cup and Popsicle. 🙂
